STS-121 Second Attempt

Today will see the second attempt to Launch Discovery, but the weather may still not cooperate. NASA reports:

Ice Team At the Pad - 9:15 a.m.

NASA’s “Ice Team” is at the launch pad to inspect the exterior, fuel tank and other hardware on Space Shuttle Discovery for any evidence of ice or debris. The seven-member team makes this final safety survey for every shuttle launch. All systems onboard the space shuttle are functioning normally and are ready for launch.

Yesterday’s launch of Space Shuttle Discovery was postponed because of weather. This continues to be an issue today, with a 70 percent chance that local weather conditions will foil today’s launch attempt.
