STS-117: Atlantis Back In VAB

The space shuttle Atlantis leaves the launch pad for its rollback to the Vehicle Assembly Building at Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Fla. Sunday, March 4, 2007. Atlantis suffered damage from a hail storm forcing the cancellation of its scheduled March 15 launch and the need to return to the VAB for repair. (AP Photo/Peter Cosgrove)The Shuttle is back inside its 8-acre "garage" after a freak hailstorm last week damaged the external tank and parts of the Orbiter itself. The 3.4-mile (5.47 km) journey started at 8:47 a.m. EST (1347 GMT) this morning, with the vehicle reaching the VAB at around 2PM (1900 GMT).
